How this Secret Santa generator works
Most name-drawing sites want every participant's email address and an account. This one does not. Type the names, add any pairs who should not draw each other, set a budget and click Draw. The generator produces a valid assignment where nobody gets themselves and every exclusion is respected, then turns each match into a private link. You send each link to its owner however you normally talk to them. When they open it, they tap to reveal their match and see a shortlist of gifts under the budget, pulled from the same product database behind our gift guides.
Tips for a smooth exchange
- Set the budget before you draw. It is printed on every reveal page, so nobody can claim they did not know.
- Add exclusions for couples and housemates. They already buy each other presents.
- Send links individually. Pasting all the links in a group chat lets curious people open the wrong one.
- Keep the organizer link. The draw lives in that link, not on our servers. If you lose it, just draw again.

How does the Secret Santa generator work without emails?
You enter the names, set a budget and date, and click Draw. We create one private link per person. You send each person their own link by text, Slack, WhatsApp or email. Opening a link reveals only that person's match, never the whole list.
Can I stop couples or housemates from drawing each other?
Yes. Add exclusion pairs before you draw. The generator keeps re-drawing until every exclusion is respected and nobody draws themselves.
Is anything stored on your servers?
No. The draw happens in your browser and the assignments are encoded inside the links themselves. We never see names or matches. Keep the organizer link if you want to come back to the results.
Can the organizer also take part?
Yes. Add yourself to the list, draw, send everyone their links, and then open your own link. Avoid the Reveal All button if you want your own match to stay a surprise.
What is a good Secret Santa budget?
